10 Reasons Why Marvel Studios Fans Don't Like John Carter

8. John Carter€™s Poses Aren€™t Alluring Enough

Regrettably, I€™ve noticed that John Carter isn€™t as distinct to any of us because he doesn€™t pose in a way that gets me turned on fast enough. Black Widow gets this respectably right, and don€™t get me started on the Hulk. Forget the magnificent sense of wonder the John Carter movie displayed in almost every shot as the story played out (after the opening sequence anyway). We got the point just as much in Iron Man 2 and The Avengers through Black Widow€™s poses. Because a good pose does wonders where lacking story or cinematography fail. Why should I care about what€™s happening on the screen if the characters aren€™t unnecessarily posing after their every action? The world is quicker these days. You have to bend over backwards to hold people€™s attention among the cacophony of the sound bite sphere, which is exactly what Black Widow does. Rather than playing out the story through aesthetically pleasing imagery that is relevant and augmentative, the shots€™ energy would be better spent by keeping me alert through vignettes of alluring poses, possibly related to one another, but it really doesn€™t matter. Dejah Thoris has some hot moments, sure, but we don€™t need them to fit seamlessly in the story. Just pose and put it in the foreground. Now that's composition! But believe it or not, the next point is even more important to every movie than poses.
