10 Reasons You’re Wrong About The Hobbit Trilogy

2. This Is Not Rings And You Just Don't Know How To Handle That

Although it is recognised that The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings take shape in the same fictional universe and thus, they are bounded to each other, to directly compare the two on an all-encompassing level is simply outrageous. Rings is about saving the world. It is serious and everything depended on these nine characters. The Hobbit is different. It€™s really just an adventure. It doesn€™t touch anybody except those connected to Erebor. The Hobbit is much easier; it is about the dwarves and only the dwarves. Whereas Rings starts off as a very murky adventure and grows into an epic war movie, The Hobbit is a homegrown fantasy adventure and is detached from Rings in that fact. Refrain from viewing The Hobbit as an extension of Rings and instead see it as a self-contained film series. The fact that storylines and characters collide should be considered little more than a coincidence.
