C'mon, would it really be an Evil Dead movie without Bruce freakin' Campbell?

Indeed, though this is the first of the series' five movies where Campbell hasn't appeared on-screen in some form, he does nevertheless contribute not one but two sneaky voice-based roles.

First and foremost, Campbell can be heard voicing one of the dissenting priests on the doomed record played by Danny (Morgan Davies).

When another priest mentions his discovery of the Book of the Dead, Campbell's character can be heard angrily shouting, "Destroy it! It's called the Book of the Dead for a reason!"

The voice is distinctly Campbell's, and the words coming out of his mouth basically feel like they belong to his Ash Williams, yet the moment comes and goes so quickly that it can be easily missed regardless.

Director Lee Cronin also revealed that Campbell's second role involved doing the foley sound effects work for the scene where a Deadite-possessed Ellie (Alyssa Sutherland) eats one of the apartment block's residents' eyeballs.

As for how Campbell created the revolting, squishy munching sound? He ate an apple "furiously," according to Cronin.
