10 Recent Movie Moments That Made No Sense

4. Multiversal Travel Rules - Spider-Man: No Way Home

You have to suspend your disbelief when watching movies, particularly those that deal with powers, magic, and the multiverse theory. Spider-Man: No Home Way encompasses all of these aspects, and is easily one of the best things Marvel Studios has put out in recent years.

However, even with disbelief well and truly suspended, there are things that can pull you out of the moment. In particular, if a story lays down certain rules and then breaks those rules itself, you can't help but question what is going on.

When Peter Parker and Doctor Strange messed up the latter's spell, people who knew the identity of Spider-Man from across the multiverse were dragged to Earth-616. However, in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Max Dillon never found out who was behind Spidey's mask. There is even a scene in Jon Watts' threequel that confirms this, when Peter-3 takes his mask off and Electro is surprised that he isn't black. Why then, was he brought to Earth-616?

These nonsensical rules even traverse multiple franchises, as this same spell sent Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes to Michael Morbius' universe. However, there was nothing in No Way Home to suggest that anything happened to those already on Earth-616 who knew who Spidey was, and Peter certainly made no effort to help them if something did.
