10 Recent Movies That Were Sent Out To Die

Luc Besson is a dodgy guy, and there's only so many sexy assassin/action movies starring models he can make before they start getting sent out in death parades.
While modestly budgeted, the studio seemingly weren't willing to fork out much on promotion either as the film only managed to make $20 million worldwide. The trailer for this film is awful and just looks like a worse version of every other assassin movie released in the past decade.
Luc Besson is infamous for solely funding his own productions, spending a hefty $200 million to get his 2017 venture Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets made with disastrous results box office wise. Valerian is famous for its nature as a unique Hollywood flop, and Besson has been hit by several accusations of inappropriate behaviour since its release, plaguing any further releases even further.
Despite his own funding of his movies and willingness of actors to work for his payout, it seems that distributors are more wary of heavily associating themselves with his projects. Distribution was handled by Summit Entertainment in an incredibly competitive release window, failing to squeeze any money out of a market dealing with the successes of Toy Story 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
