10 Relentlessly Violent Mean-Spirited Films

1. The Gore Gore Girls (1972)

There is possibly no filmmaker quite like the "Godfather of Gore," Herschell Gordon Lewis. He has brought horror fans endless joy with such films as Two Thousand Maniacs and Blood Feast; beautifully bad movies with ungodly bad taste. The Gore Gore Girls would be Lewis' final film for more than 30 years, but geez, what a way to go out. The film follows a detective on the trail of a serial killer who is murdering strippers in a most egregious fashion. This includes a stripper having her rear end pounded to shreds with a meat tenderiser, another having her nipples cut off while milk squirts all over the place, and a particularly gruesome scene where one gets her face deep fried in a pan of oil. Though, when all is said and done, The Gore Gore Girls has one of the best and most delightful endings you're likely to see. After insurmountable amounts of gruesomeness the film breaks the fourth wall and informs the audience that they've "seen enough," and literally closes the curtain on the movie. Then this text appears: "We Announce With Pride: This Movie Is Over!" What€™s not to love about this movie? What other utterly violent movies would you like to add to the list?
