10 Ridiculous Stories Behind 2019 Movies

1. Cat Infiltration - John Wick: Parabellum

Three films in, we all know how much of a dog person John Wick is. And after shooting, we can assume that many who worked on the latest one are as well.

It all started during location scouting, when director Chad Stahelski and his team visited Morocco in winter. They noticed a few stray cats wandering about, but the problem was deemed manageable with the right people in place. Fast forward to summer, when they returned to find thousands of cats instead of the few they anticipated. This left them no choice but to build "massive walls of cages", complete with tiny houses and copious amounts of cat food.

As complicated as filming any action scene under these conditions may seem, the real nightmare was when they then had deal with the hounds escorting Halle Berry's Sofia. Though they tried very hard to contain the cats, there were still a few walking around, which made it insanely difficult to instruct the dogs to bite where intended without getting distracted. To top it off, Stahelski's directing style consisting of long takes made it nigh on impossible to get the needed shot without a dog going off to chase a stray cat. Sounds fun!
