10 Ridiculous Upcoming Movie Performances That Sound Like Jokes

Despite the fact that every actor in Hollywood is now involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some capacity, it's weird to learn that Sylvester Stallone - Rocky, Rambo, uh, Cobra - is set to join the party in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Sylvester Stallone belongs in Sylvester Stallone movies; Sylvester Stallone movies that seem to subtly acknowledge the fact that they're Sylvester Stallone movies (wink wink, nudge nudge, all that). He's far too jarring a presence to be involved in a Guardians film, surely? I mean, the only reason we're letting Samuel L. Jackson get away with it is because he's been involved in the MCU since the very beginning.

Stallone is apparently set to play a member of the group called the Ravagers, one of the space pirates led by Yondu. Presumably he's a tough veteran of sorts, because there isn't much chance of him playing an intellectual type.

This initially sounded like one of those random announcements that turns out to be completely unfounded. You know, with a perplexed star tweeting a message denying their involvement. That didn't happen this time. Sly is gonna turn up.
