There has become something of an urban legend surrounding Harrison Ford's attitude toward Star Wars. Based on certain things the legendary actor has said about the franchise and his character, in particular comparisons he has made between Han Solo and Indiana Jones, and the fact that he only returned for the sequel trilogy with the guarantee that Solo would die, it is widely believed that Harrison Ford hates Star Wars.

Of course, 'hate' is a strong word, but regardless of his attitude, it certainly can't have been helped by what happened to him on the set of Episode VII - The Force Awakens.

While filming for his first Star Wars movie since Return of the Jedi, Ford walked through a door on the Millennium Falcon set. Back in 1983, this door would have been operated on a pulley, but in 2014, the production evolved into using hydraulic doors, and when this failed it essentially slammed Ford into the ground.

The 74-year-old dislocated his ankle and broke both bones in his leg, resulting in him having to be air-lifted to hospital and on the sidelines for several weeks. While Ford has clearly been able to poke fun at the incident since, there would have been nothing close to laughter at the time.
