10 Ridiculously Manly Movie Characters Who Drip Machismo
7. Jason Statham As Chev Chelios - Crank (2006)
Jason Statham's Chev Chelios takes a lot of punishment throughout the high-octane film Crank and its sequel Crank: High Voltage. When the first movie begins, Chelios is working as a hit man for a crime syndicate in Los Angeles. In a quick flip of the script, Chelios is injected with a virus called The Beijing Cocktail by a rival gang, which will kill him unless he continuously keeps his adrenaline pumping. To maintain, Chelios is forced to spend his time wildly fornicating with his girlfriend (Amy Smart) in public and getting into high-speed car chases and shootouts with the gang members who poisoned him. Quite the intense existence. In the second film, Chelios has to keep electrocuting himself (with a car battery, with a car cigarette lighter, etc) because his heart has been stolen, and the electronic one in his chest keeps running out of juice. In the chaotic and frenzied sequel Chelios lives up to his would-be namesake the violent, antisocial young man who is simply not one to be trifled with.
