10 Ridiculously Overused Movie Songs

1. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Cyokaj3BJU Pretty much any film that's set even remotely near Alabama will use this song for sure, hence why it's appeared in the numerous likes of Despicable Me, The Girl Next Door, Sahara, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Sweet Home Alabama (obviously), 8 Mile, Con Air (to admittedly hilarious effect), Crimson Tide and Forrest Gump. It's basically the homecoming anthem for the state, though has been used to such an extent that I just groan whenever I hear it (which, for a song as awesome as it is, is sort of a shame). At least a lot of these films have sense of humour enough to take the Mickey a little bit; 8 Mile had Eminem altering the lyrics ("Cause you live at home in a trailer / What the hell you gonna do (yee-hah!) / Cause I live at home in a trailer / Mom I'm coming home to you"). Which overused song annoys you the most? Let us know in the comments below.
