5. Bobby Morse aka Mockingbird
Hawkeye and Mockingbird have been described as the Mr. & Mrs. Smith of the Marvel Universe. Shortly after their first meeting, and confrontation, they eloped. Mockingbird was first introduced to The Avengers as Hawkeye's wife. The newlyweds moved to L.A. to start a new Avengers team. Their relationship was put under strain when Mockingbird allowed a villain to fall to his death, after that villain had brainwashed her into loving him. Mockingbird and Hawkeye have been on and off again since then. While Mockingbird is mostly considered in association with Hawkeye, she is a strong, interesting character in her own right. Mockingbird graduated at the top of her class in her S.H.I.E.L.D. training. She is proficient in various forms of combat and the use of a variety of weapons, including her trademark batons that combine into a bo-staff. She also has a doctorate in biology. Her most recent costume pictured above would translate very well into a live action format. The S.H.I.E.L.D. show is a great opportunity to introduce Mockingbird, and to delve into the history of Hawkeye without necessarily needing Hawkeye to appear.
