10 Scariest CGI Movie Monsters

5. The Bear - Annihilation

2018's Annihilation was a hit among audiences when it came out, at least in part due to it's creepy and unusual visuals.

The movie went from creepy to straight horror around the 75-minute mark in a scene that stuck with audiences. The bear scene.

At this point, Gina Rodriguez's character Anya had tied up the remaining members of the crew that have ventured into Area X when she hears the screams of Tessa Novotny's character Cass, who had been abducted earlier in the movie. She rushes out to the cries and is killed. It is then that the bear appears.

The visual design of the bear is pure nightmare fuel. The front of its face is rotten, with missing eyes and its skull protruding from its head. Once the bear enters it becomes even worse, as it opens its mouth and Cass's dying screams emanate from within.

The bear scene is one of the most notable horror moments of 2018 and understandably so, the design of the bear, along with its ability to mimic the voice of those it kills makes it an intenselty scary monster.
