9. Cruella De Vil's Evil Face - 101 Dalmatians (1961)
This cute animated adventure is about a bunch of Dalmatian pups wanted by Cruella de Vil, a materialistic woman whos obsessed with the fur of the spotted canines, and wants them so she can make coats. Its easy to love the talking dogs and their caring owners, and easier yet to dislike Cruella for her intentions. Shes considered one of the great Disney villains, and has been featured in spinoffs and remakes, but never has she been more wicked than in this version. Her status as an audacious antagonist is due in part to the climactic scene where shes chasing down the dalmatian puppies in a final attempt to catch them. The pups are in the back of a truck, and she is in her car. Shes all over the road, speeding and crashing into things, while her henchmen follow in their own vehicle. She gets increasingly intense, and theres one frame where it zooms in on her crazy face. Her eyes are orange and face contorted, staring directly at the screen and into your soul. It lasts only a couple seconds, but is beyond unsettling.
