10 Scariest Uses Of Force Power In Star Wars History
1. Vader's Rebel Cruiser Hallway Massacre In Rogue One
These two minutes provided us with one of the truest depictions in any medium of the power and ruthlessness Darth Vader possessed when he fully tapped into the Dark Side.
He deflected blaster bolts. He cut Rebel troopers down. He Force choked several soldiers, lifting one to the ceiling before slicing him in half. He stabbed one through the midsection, piercing the metal behind him.
And he did it with no effort and not a single word.
The pacing and setup of the scene was perfect. If you hadn't given in to any spoilers beforehand, you had no idea what was coming. All you saw was a pitch black screen. Suddenly, that iconic mechanical breathing started and a crimson lightsaber blade pierced the darkness, bathing the Sith Lord in a blood-red glow.
What followed was perhaps the closest Lucasfilm will ever get to an actual horror movie, as a character we thought we knew became a killing machine more like Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers.
It was a terrifying look at who and what Anakin Skywalker had become, and the look on the face of the Rebel trooper as it sinks in for our heroes exactly who they were facing through the smoke and blaring sirens conveys this perfectly.
