10 Scariest Uses Of Force Power In Star Wars History

7. Darth Maul Keeps Himself Alive Through His Hatred Of Obi-

Darth Maul was awesome, arguably the best part of Phantom Menace. After years of fencing-like lightsaber battles, to watch a real martial artist like Ray Park flip, spin, and ruthlessly cut down Qui-Gon was refreshing.

Unfortunately, it appeared that his fate was sealed at the end of Phantom Menace when Obi-Wan bisected him, leaving him to fall into the core of Naboo.

But this is the world of Star Wars, where no one ever really dies.

Maul survived his duel with Obi-Wan, and his body ended up on a junkyard planet called Lotho Minor.

How did he survive? Hatred. Pure, unadulterated hatred of Obi-Wan. Maul constantly gave himself to the Dark Side, letting it nourish him and willing himself to stay alive so he could exact revenge. He was eventually rescued and went on to resume his path of revenge, killing many along the way.

This went on for decades, until he finally once again encountered Obi-Wan on Tatooine. In a few quick lightsaber strikes, their rivalry ended, and only in death did Maul finally let go of the hatred that had sustained him through so much of his existence.
