10 Scenes That Could Have Been Cut From Zack Snyder's Justice League

1. The Knightmare

Justice League
Warner Bros.

After the Justice League defeated Steppenwolf, Batman assumed the Knightmare premonition he had during Batman V Superman had been averted.

However, the ending of this cut shows Batman having another Knightmare, proving his apocalyptic future is predestined. In this epilogue, we see Batman allied with Cyborg, Mera, Flash, Deathstroke, and the Joker to take down an evil Superman that has been corrupted by Darkseid's Anti-Life Equation.

When you phrase it like, you can see why Snyder inserted the scene in the movie. After all, he obviously wants the audience to be excited about the prospect of a follow-up. But we already were! After seeing Darkseid ordering DeSaad to summon his armada, viewers were psyched to see more.

The Knightmare sequence could've worked if Bruce Wayne had a split-second flash of the future to let him know the threat is still looming. Instead, we got a bloated scene with bad dialogue, including a line where the Joker asks if Batman wants a reach-around. (Also, why is Mera suddenly British?)

Having the film conclude with Superman ripping off his shirt to reveal the "S" on his costume in the previous scene would have been a much more satisfying climax.
