10 Science Facts That Will Ruin Your Favourite Sci-Fi Movies
2. We DO Use All Of Our Brains - Lucy
Sorry, Leon: The Professional helmer Luc Besson.
You may be one of the greats when it comes to effective action movie filmmaking, but your science requires a little more work.
This one does feel like low hanging fruit. After all 2014's Lucy, an action thriller wherein Scarlett Johansson unknowingly ingests a nootropic which opens her mind, gives her extraordinary new powers, and eventually leaves her a transcendent demigod, is not the first film to claim "we only use about 10% of our brains".
However the fact that earlier flicks like 2011's underrated Bradley Cooper vehicle Limitless debunked this makes it even more galling that it appears here, sincere and unaltered. And it's not a minor plot point, either. The film's entire premise revolves around what happens when someone accesses all 100% at once.
Unfortunately, unlike this film's script, the rest of us are already using 100% of our brains.
