10 Scrapped DCEU Scenes We Desperately Wanted To See

7. Cyborg's Origins - Justice League

Though numerous superheroes had their character development severely hampered due to Justice League's well-documented post-production woes, nobody suffered more from the executive scissor-job than Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Despite Justice League being mounted as the character's coming-out party ahead of his planned 2020 solo movie - which has effectively been scrapped - the superhero's role was significantly reduced in the final cut of the film.

In actuality, Zack Snyder filmed a ton of scenes depicting Cyborg's backstory, showing him playing football for Gotham City University - as briefly seen in the movie's earlier trailers - and the car accident which killed his mother.

Also, Cyborg briefly visited his mother's grave, as confirmed by a post from the film's cinematographer Fabian Wagner.

These scenes were all shot and in various stages of post-production when they were scrapped in order to streamline the narrative and keep it under two hours, as mandated by a nervous Warner Bros.

But given how Cyborg feels more like a prop than a character in the final film, these scenes could've actually made audiences care about him.
