10 Scumbag Horror Movie Protagonists We STILL Rooted For

5. Sadie & McKayla - Tragedy Girls

There's no denying that Tragedy Girls' two protagonists are real pieces of work alright, given that McKayla Hooper (Alexandra Shipp) and her bestie Sadie Cunningham (Brianna Hildebrand) are a pair of true crime bloggers turned serial killers. Yup, there's no excusing that.

They're blatant sociopaths, then, yet while we should hate them, the performances from Shipp and Hildebrand are so damn entertaining, and their chemistry so pitch-perfect, that it becomes hard not to queasily cheer their rampage on.

Granted, it helps that the film pits them against another, altogether more detestable serial killer, Lowell Orson Lehmann (Kevin Durand), but even so, make no mistake - they're awful people who leave a massive pile of bodies behind them by film's end.

And yet, they're frequently hilarious and weirdly likeable, enough that it's tough not to root for them as each new wrinkle presents itself and we wonder how they're gonna extricate themselves from it.
