10 Shameless Alfred Hitchcock Rip-Offs

5.Wait Until Dark (1967)

waituntil Audrey Hepburn would go on to star in another Hitchcockian thriller after Charade, titled Wait Until Dark. Directed by regular Bond film director, Terence Young, the feature sees a young blind woman, Susy Hendrix, terrorised by criminals who search her apartment for a doll stuffed with heroin. Perhaps Wait Until Dark is its most surprising due to the dark subject matter, something that we do not usually associate with Hepburn's career. Boasting the nerve-shredding suspense of a Hitchcock feature as the blind Susy wanders around her apartment aware of the presence of the crooks - Wait Until Dark is a chilling watch. Like many a Hitchcock feature, Wait Until Dark stays in a single location, amping up the claustrophobia and tension a good thriller should have.
