Hot Fuzz's town of Gloucestershire is so boring that a job as a police officer there is considered punishment for Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg). Seemingly nothing happens in this idyllic city.
A pair of deaths occurs, and everything seems to cast it aside as being accidental, but Angel takes notice. More bodies pile up. He is tipped off to a potential conspiracy, and a journalist then dies unexpectedly in another freak accident.
The city appears to be perfect with very little crime, and yet the large number of accidents are, in fact, not accidental. Angel investigates, but all of his suspicions are disregarded. In reality, the town is controlled by a cadre of local members, almost cult like, dressed in black hooded robes.
Through their power, local influences, and ability to be in multiple places at once, they have controlled the town of Gloucestershire with iron fists. Those who become suspicious are either disposed of or convinced otherwise.
