9. The Drug War - Kindergarten Cop

Ah, Kindergarten Cop, the hallmark of Arnie's ridiculous self-deprecating phase, but you wouldn't know that from the badass opening scenes, which feel more like they're pulled from a Shane Black film than a family-aimed comedy. "I'm the party pooper", Arnie's Detective John Kimble utters before unloading a boatload of shotgun shells in the direction of anyone who dares to move. Though obviously toned down for the PG-13-friendliness of it all, this is clearly supposed to be a crack den of some kind, given the strung out people we can see lying around (yet curiously no needle is in sight), and there's something both hilarious and horrifying about seeing Arnie try and blow a bunch of drug dealers to bits in what is supposed to be a feel-good comedy. After this scene, it calms down and becomes just that, but still, have these guys never heard of the word "tone"? Might wanna look it up. Jeez.
