10 Simple Ways Joss Whedon Could Screw Up Avengers: Age Of Ultron
6. Too Much Downey?
Okay, to be clear I am not hating on Robert Downey Jr. completely the opposite. I firmly believe he is the man and that every fanboy in the world owes him several hugs for re-vitalizing not only the character of Iron Man himself, but Marvel's entire film slate. But, let's face it the first Avengers movie was kind of all about him. As opposed to, say, someone like Captain America who is the actual leader of the team. With Age of Ultron looking like a Tony Stark-centered story - as he's the only non-Hank Pym person out there who would make sense as Ultron's creator the next Avengers film runs the risk of essentially being another Iron Man movie, which wouldn't be such a bad thing if The Avengers didn't basically consist of Marvel's best characters. Like I mentioned before you have a rage monster, the perfect soldier and a god the idea of those guys playing second fiddle for another movie is a little outlandish. For Avengers 2 to shine, the goal shouldn't so much be about giving us less Stark, but for balancing out the rest of the characters to be just as important.
