Paul W.S. Anderson's criminally underrated sci-fi horror film follows a crew of astronauts searching for the missing titular spaceship, and once they locate and board it, they soon discover that a massacre has taken place, as they begin to be haunted by visions of their own troubled pasts.

Things reach a horrifying apex when the astronauts discover a video log of the Event Horizon's original crew brutally mutilating one another, and without missing a beat, Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne) tells his team, "We're leaving."

Miller quickly devises a plan to destroy the Event Horizon, hilariously telling its designer Dr. Weir (Sam Neill), "F*** this ship."

Ultimately Miller ends up sacrificing himself to destroy the doomed vessel, yet his quick decision-making is ultimately what allows the incident to have any survivors at all. His utter lack of hesitation in announcing what needs to be done remains not only whip-smart but also extremely satisfying.
