1. Airplane! (1980)
When it comes to inappropriate content under a family friendly certificate, this comedy classic surely has them all beat. Yes, it only has one brief and extraordinarily gratuitous moment of nudity (an anonymous pair of breasts momentarily taking up the entire shot as panic breaks out aboard the troubled plane), but even beyond that the smut content in the humour is through the roof. Trying to keep track of all the hilarious gags in Airplane! is like trying to count Schwarzenegger's bullets in Commando, but a great many of the most memorable are more than a bit on the dirty side. Take the little old lady whose initially sweet description of Julie Hagerty's Elaine gradually shifts into eroticised prose ("supple, pouting breasts, firm thighs..."), or the Captain's series of highly inappropriate questions to the boy who visits the cockpit ("ever seen a grown man naked?"). That's not even mentioning the drug humour, as Lloyd Bridges' air traffic controller laments, "I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue." Perhaps the dirtiest joke of all, however, is when the plane's automatic pilot - an inflatable - starts deflating, forcing Elaine to re-inflate him herself. And of course, she has to blow into him from the crotch... so when Leslie Nielsen's Dr Rumack sticks his head around the door, he thinks he's walked in on something he shouldn't have. Small wonder, then, that Airplane! was subsequently re-rated a 15 (though it was recently downgraded to 12).
