10 Star Wars Moments That Were Almost WAY Darker

6. Anakin Kills Shaak Ti

Star Wars Revenge Of The Sith Shaak Ti

This is something of a deleted concept from the Revenge of the Sith that became canon a little later on, thanks to the Clone Wars. It concerns the death of a Jedi Master, Shaak Ti. There are actually a few versions of her death as first, in a deleted scene, she is murdered in cold blood by General Grievous while Anakin and Obi-Wan watch.

However, when this scene was deleted, she is seen walking around later on in the film, meaning it can't even loosely be considered part of the continuity. There was then a sadder fate written for the Jedi, and one that did eventually make its was into canon.

During Anakin's descent into evil, the now-famous scene of him entering the Younglings chamber would have continued as normal. However, he would also betray and murder Shaak Ti as she concentrated in the Meditation Chamber, further displaying his madness.

While it didn't make it into the movie, these events are later seen by Yoda in the Clone Wars, which seals her fate. She was one of the last steps that Anakin took on his path to doom and, arguably, one of the most significant.
