Though the following entry doesn't involve an actor showing up on set and being a little annoyed about what they were being asked to do, it does still see one of the series' OG's absolutely burying scenes they were still technically a part of in the series.

With hilariously hopeless droid C-3PO being thrust into a few more perilous situations over the course of the Prequel Trilogy - in particular during Attack of the Clones - George Lucas felt that some of the things being asked of this mechanical being would've simply been too dangerous to practically have Anthony Daniels perform on the day.

So, the decision was ultimately made to have the original body within the droid suit sit on the sidelines and simply voice 3PO... and it was one that Daniels himself detested through and through.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Daniels would confess that CGI C-3PO "wasn’t very good. In fact, I’m going to say it was awful.”

Thankfully by the time the Sequels came around, Daniels' insistence on bringing a practical droid to the party led to a much less jarring realisation of the well-known robot.
