10 Stars Who Featured In Horror Movies Before They Were Famous

5. Jamie Lee Curtis – Halloween (1978)

A Nightmare On Elm Street Johnny Depp
Paramount

The original Scream Queen was Tommy Doyle’s unfortunate babysitter in the John Carpenter’s slasher film that kickstarted the genre back in 1978. Jamie played Laurie Strode, later revealed in Part 2 to be Michael Myers’ baby sister who had been adopted since he killed their older sister as a child. The first film was especially menacing as there was no reason given for why he targeted Laurie.

Jamie went on to not only star in the sequel, but in a string of horror films, including The Fog, Prom Night and Terror Train. After moving away from the genre with many high-profile comedy films over the years, she returned to her horror roots in 1998, starring in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later in 1998.

This was followed by Halloween Resurrection in 2002 as an adult Laurie Strode, before blowing Myers up at the end of Halloween in 2018 (although a post credit scene hears him breathing and she is due to star in Halloween Kills’ in 2020 so it looks like he will be back!)
