Though he couldn't wait to be king when he was just a small cub, after the death of his father and his exile, Simba (Matthew Broderick) wanted nothing less than to be the ruler of the Pride Lands. However, it was his fate that he was dragged back into the life he would have had all along if not for his Uncle Scar (Jeremy Irons).

Ironically, Simba went from wanting a simple life as an unknown vagabond with Timon and Pumbaa (Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella) to fighting tooth and nail for the crown. And thanks to his relationship with Nala (Moira Kelly), he was able to win.

When Simba and his betrothed wrestled when they were mere cubs, Nala beat him. The same thing happened when the two first came together again after so many years apart. Both times she employed the same move, using Simba's momentum against him as he lept at her to flip him over and pin him to the ground.

Being on the receiving end of such a beating on multiple occasions seemingly stuck with the future King, as when it came time to truly fight, it was he who pulled out the same move to send Scar reeling over the edge of the cliff on which they fought.
