After discovering a strange substance, three high school students develop superpowers.
Filming the experience through a camera the three boys begin to explore their powers. Andrew is a socially awkward introvert but after being encouraged to perform with his newfound powers in the school talent show he rockets to popularity.
However, after multiple knock-backs he turns down a darker path. It is up to his cousin Matt to stop him from destroying himself and others.
Chronicle was positively received, depicting adolescent struggles with a careful hand whilst still taking on the big dilemmas of the superhero genre. Found footage can be a risk but for Chronicle this risk pays off.
