8. Don't Be The Cool Girl
The cool girl scene is one of the most memorable ones in both the novel and the film. The men watching roll their eyes and claim that their girlfriends are nothing like Amy. However, all the women in the audience nod their head in agreement. No woman wants to wax herself raw and remain a size two, but they do it in order to remain desirable. Yes, it's disgusting that they're conditioned by society to be different versions of the same perfect woman, but if they want a man like Ben Affleck, its a sacrifice that they're willing to make. If a woman pretends to be someone she's not in order to please her partner, she's going to end up resenting them for liking that version of her instead of the real her.
