10 Terrible CGI Moments In Huge Comic Book Movies
3. Any Scene Where Hal Jordan Is Suited Up (Green Lantern)
Ryan Reynolds's digital costume in 2011's Green Lantern was so bad that Deadpool was still ripping on it five years later. The fourth wall-breaking merc didn't want his suit to be "super suit green, or animated", and this is why.
The problem with Hal Jordan's all-CG get-up is that it's the epitome of cheap. To say it looks like it was Photoshopped onto his body is an insult to a graphics package that has been the industry standard for years.
This seems like it was pasted onto Reynolds using MS Paint, or some other app you don't have to pay for. The mask is by far the worst part and looks like it might slide away from his face at any point.
If Warner Bros wanted to skimp on Green Lantern's budget, wouldn't cladding the lead actor in spandex been a more effective way to do that? It's not like it would have looked any worse.
