Sean Astin, who played Mikey in The Goonies and is nowadays more known for his brilliant turn as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of Rings trilogy starred in this poorly reviewed comedy in 2011. Told as a mockumentary in the style of The Office and many other comedy TV shows and movies, And Theyre Off centers on a horse trainer in a career and life slump desperate to win competition. The movie was not widely released, though the critics who saw it absolutely trashed it. Most of the jokes fell flat and was criticized for not doing anything original. And Theyre Offs biggest failure is being an average, unmemorable comedy.
