10 Terrible Horror Movies Everybody Loves
9. Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama
Cult classic Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama is just as ludicrously terrible as the film's woeful title suggests.
A group of nerds are sent to steal a trophy from a bowling alley after being caught spying on the Tri-Delta Sorority Group. Regrettably for our geeky protagonists, the trophy contains a murderous imp with the ultra-creative moniker of Uncle Impie, who essentially turns out to be a murderous version of Aladdin's Genie.
Uncle Impie duly turns the girls girls into murderous acolytes and all hell is let loose in the most B-movie, low budget manner physically imaginable. It is not an exaggeration to state that this picture is shot and acted with the same amount of nuanced refinement as the Gang's ultra-offensive remake of the Lethal Weapon series in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Funnily enough, director David DeCoteau actually used the EXACT same cast and crew for his next film.
This exceedingly questionable picture ultimately redeems itself by providing some legitimately golden comedic moments. At the end of the day, audiences rarely feel too hard done by as a result of the movie's lack of quality when they're wiping away their tears of mirth at its sheer ridiculousness. This writer challenges you to watch the sequence where the imp's minions use one of the unfortunate dweebs' heads as a bowling ball without crying with laughter.
An utterly indispensable entry in the "so bad it's incredible" cinematic category.
