10 Terribly Reviewed Movies That Made A Fortune

7. 2012

QQq 2012 looked very promising with good effects and a good trailer to gee anticipation up, this should have been great. That was sort of where it ended though. The film was a mess. The script was poor, the characters were under-developed and badly written. Even the epic set pieces weren€™t particularly memorable due to the predictability of the whole thing. Add all that to an epic running time and it€™s no surprise that reviewers didn€™t treat this favourably at all Ah the beauty of hind sight. Surely, if we€™d have known what we were in for, we wouldn€™t have paid out a blinding $769 million worldwide to watch it. 2012 - a poor quality film that really took us all for a ride. €œ2012 is so long, and its special effects are at once so outrageous and so thunderously predictable, that by the time I lurched from the theatre I felt that three years had actually passed and that the apocalypse was due any second.€ €“ Anthony Lane of the New YorkerRotten Tomatoes: 39% IMDB user rating: 5.8
