10 TERRIFYING Horror Movie Moments You Don't Actually See

Michael Mann's take on Hannibal Lector is the first of its kind to grace screens, a psychological thrill ride that delivers atmosphere in spades. For those familiar with Red Dragon, you'll recognise Manhunter as an adaptation of the novel, even if it's largely forgotten in the wake of the Edward Norton version released in 2002.

Where these two takes differ, however, is in the Tooth Fairy's on screen antics. Where both Manhunter and Red Dragon feature Freddy Lounds getting his lips bitten off in recompense for disparaging the serial killer's brand, only the former leaves this moment entirely to the imagination - seemingly having the Tooth Fairy kiss Mr. Lounds as we then cut to the next scene.

There, Lounds arrives strapped to a hurtling wheelchair that's been set aflame, but what exactly happened to him between is up to the audience to fill in the blanks. It was only a kiss, how did it end up like this? He's missing his lips, he's missing his lips!
