Written and directed by The Vicious Brothers, found footage chiller Grave Encounters follows the small crew of the titular paranormal investigation show as they investigate the supposedly haunted Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital in what would be the show’s final episode before the crew went missing.

Going into the eerie building, the investigators expect that their latest excursion will be as uneventful as every other ghost hunting show out there. However, the team are about to get their first real paranormal encounter, and it’s more than they could have ever bargained for.

Not long after the crew are locked in for the night, they realise to their horror that they’re trapped. The hospital seems to have a mind of its own. Space and time operate by their own rules here with the purpose of driving the crew insane. The only way to checkout from this institution is to die or - worse - endure treatment from the sinister doctor who haunts the place.

Complete with a creepy, claustrophobic atmosphere and packed with plenty of effective jump scares and demon faces, Grave Encounters proves why abandoned asylums will always be terrifying horror settings.
