10 Theories That Improve The Indiana Jones Movies

3. Indiana Jones Is Responsible For The Events Of Raiders Of The Lost Ark

A counter-point to the Big Bang Theory's theory (that Indiana Jones' actions in Raiders of the Lost Ark were inconsequential to the outcome of the story) is that Indiana Jones was actually the cause of the Ark being found in the first place. In this theory, without Indiana Jones, the Nazis wouldn't have found the Ark at all. It's pretty simple, really: the Nazis, while on the trail of the Ark, were digging in the wrong place. It wasn't until Dr. Jones came along and got involved that he inadvertently led them to the coveted artifact. In fact, had Indy simply left, along with the amulet in his possession that was the key to uncovering the Ark, the Nazi's wouldn't have been able to retrieve it at all. Of course, then they wouldn't have had their faces melted off. So the fact that Indy is actually responsible for these events taking place is clearly the more appealing theory of the two.
