9. Give The Symbiote Storyline The Adaptation It Deserves
One of the biggest disappointments is the poor use of the symbiote suit. The black costume is a huge part of Spider-Man's comic-book history, and has appeared in multiple storylines across the original and Ultimate universes. Certain moments in the film are faithful to the comics, such as Peter removing the suit in a church and the rejected symbiote bonding with Eddie Brock. However, the story was rushed, unsatisfying, and failed to actually explore just how corrupting an influence the suit actually was. The less said about that abysmal dancing scene the better. Legend has it that Raimi never planned any of this, and was actually forced to include both the symbiote and its later evolution into Venom. However, with a team actually keen to experiment with the suit's potential aboard, the black suit could be used beautifully, showing a more powerful, darker version of the character than previous films. It could also tie into future Marvel movies, with other characters having to bring a corrupted Spidey down or even taking possession of the suit itself. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe has branched out into cosmic storylines, the symbiote's extraterrestrial origins can be implemented without feeling ridiculous.
