4. Introduce Spider-Gwen And Spider-Men Of Alternate Earths
Over the years, Spider-Man's various comic-books have explored heroes from other dimensions to great effect, fleshing his universe out and viewing how different personalities handle his powers. As well as Peter Parker, characters like Spider-Girl (from a 'What If?' story following the possible daughter of Peter and Mary Jane, gifted with her old man's powers) and the Superior Spider-Man (Doctor Octopus inhabiting Peter's body, determined to prove himself a better hero) have appeared from time to time. The recent Spider-Verse event pulled Spider-heroes from multiple universes and united them to face a potentially devastating threat. This was a big hit, and introduced the late Gwen Stacy as the Spider-Woman of a parallel reality in which she was bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter. Spider-Gwen is a fantastic addition to the Marvel universe, bringing a fresh perspective to a classic character that deserves to hit the big screen. Not only does Spider-Gwen have one of the coolest costumes ever, but she also has the potential to be one of the too-few female superheroes in mainstream movies. By introducing her and others like the Scarlet Spider and Miles Morales, Marvel and Sony can expand their universe and create multiple spin-offs (a smart business move if ever there was one).
