Perhaps someone quite so prone to saying what she thinks might be ill-suited to the plate spinning and people management required to be a successful director, but Lawrence intends on giving it a shot in the future. Her first significant film role saw Lawrence take the lead in The Poker House, which was written and directed by Lori Petty and loosely based on the events of her childhood, and the experience inspired her to want to try something similar. Having also worked under Jodie Foster in The Beaver and Susanne Bier in Serena, Lawrence is keen on directing at some point, just not quite yet:
Ive been fortunate enough to work with some of the best directors in the world that I can hopefully learn something from, but I dont think Im ready. I try to soak up and learn as much as I can. I just dont want to annoy anybody.
So Jennifer Lawrence might one day find herself on the other side of the camera, but her last word on the matter is characteristically curious:
I dont know because ten years ago I would have never imagined that Id be here. So ten years from now, I might be running a rodeo.
If you are Jennifer Lawrence, please write something stupid below. Even if youre not, your comments stupid or otherwise are also always welcome.
I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
