10 Things Hollywood Can Learn From The Lone Ranger Flop

4. Johnny Depp Is A Talented Actor, But He Is Also Extremely Lazy

Dark Shadows By Johnny Depp's own recent admission, the guy keeps taking blockbuster roles simply because they're there, and he's doing it for the money, to ensure that his kids are well looked after. While one can't blame the guy taking care of the homestead first, with $300 million to his name just from the Pirates films, is he surely not there by now? That isn't to say Depp should stop making movies, but Jesus, could he not put a little more thought into the projects he accepts? As was made painfully apparent in Dark Shadows, Depp has essentially become a tired comedian performing a rote routine that people are sick of watching, and he himself seems to have lost a lot of enthusiasm for. To say that this feeling is replicated in The Lone Ranger is an absolute understatement. The guy is a fantastic actor when he wants to be; it just seems that he hasn't been keen to stretch himself in quite some time.
