10 Things Movie Fans Find Too Distracting

2. Disney Live Action Reboots

Everyone loves a little bit of nostalgia.

Which is exactly why Disney wisely decided to take advantage of this by adapting some of our favourite animated childhood stories into live action features. For the most part, their re-telling of classic tales through this more realistic lens has financially worked out pretty well, with the likes of The Lion King, Aladdin, Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast all earning a ridiculous amount of money at the box office.

Yet, just because fans were in a rush to see what all the fuss was about, doesn't mean they fully embraced each and every walk down memory lane.

The major problem with any live action remake is that the film will constantly be compared to its original source, which is often untouchable in the first place. The fact that The Lion King was pretty much a shot-for-shot re-telling of the legendary 1994 flick, with added creepy realistic talking/singing animals, almost invited fans to keep mentally checking out of the film to see if they preferred the original animated version better.

Though some of these adaptations, like Dumbo, have fallen flat in recent times, it doesn't look like Disney are ready to stop this live action train anytime soon.

So, get ready to spend two hours comparing Mulan, The Little Mermaid, Pinnochio and Peter Pan to their animated predecessors over the next few years.
