10 Things Movies Tell You Are Normal (But Totally Aren't)

4. Superheroes/Monsters Making A Mess

We all love a good action flick, whether dominated by superheroes, mythical monsters or techno-giants! However... Two words: Damage Control! OK we get it... the climax of a film is more successful with a heightened sense of catastrophic calamity and chaos. Buildings knocked over carelessly, highways being smashed, pyramids of crushed up cars... BUT... what about the people who are suffering in the background from the roaring riots?? For example, there are many occasions when cars are stolen for a good cause and end up written off, but we never get to find out what happens to the poor owner who was robbed! What about the homes that have been destroyed by the fleet of Chitauri from Avengers Assemble (2012), and the people who have been traumatised by site of destructive Decepticons from the Transformers film series? I can't even imagine my reaction if I saw Godzilla marching menacingly before my eyes while stuck in traffic, can you??

As a one-of-a-kind twenty-something film fanatic and culture vulture... I have a 1st Class Honours degree in English Literature with Film Studies & Media Cultures. Along with recently completing MA by Research in Film Studies, I aspire to be a film critic and yearn for the opportunity to roll around on the red carpet (with or without Christian Bale in his Batsuit). Always openly embracing films of all genres and nations, although anything Studio Ghibli related will always have a place in my heart. Believes normality is overrated!
