Serious fans may be getting excited over the Inhumans on the big screen, but to general audiences the movie everyone has their eyes on (aside from Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, obviously) is Iron Man 4. In the weeks leading up to Robert Downey Jr. signing on for Civil War there was rampant speculation about a fourth solo film for Tony Stark, with the actor both confirming and denying its status at various points. And the news sites went crazy, reporting every minor possibility as if it was a life or death situation. We now know it was all to try and keep the lid on the Captain America vs Iron Man story, but that doesn't mean Iron Man 4 is dead in the water. Again being very cagey, Kevin Feige briefly discussed the film, saying that it's always going to be a possibility going into the future, no doubt getting everyone excited again. Whether Iron Man 4 is necessary, however, is a different matter. There's a distinct sense of diversification going into Phase 3, with new heroes taking a more prominent role alongside the old staples; is a fourth film for Tony Stark really better than a first for brand new hero?
