Barry Allen has gone from one of the lesser-known members of the main DC stable of superheroes to one of the hottest properties Warner Bros. own. Not content with the smash-hit of The CW series, Warners have Ezra Miller speeding around in the DCEU and set to get his own timeline-altering movie this coming November.

Of course, the Scarlet Speedster has long been referred to as the fastest man alive. Fastest, that is. Not fattest.

The Fattest Man Alive was a story from The Flash comics of the 1960s, where Gorilla Grodd – a talking, psychic simian supervillain – shot Barry Allen with a gun that made Flash absorb all the moisture in the world around him. Subsequently, the Sultan of Speed ballooned into a morbidly obese hero whose skin-tight red costume still fits.

That's not a concept likely to translate onto film. It's a miracle they got Grodd to work on the TV show, honestly. The story continues with The Flash losing his memory and becoming a circus freak, just because things hadn't gotten ridiculous enough.
