10 Things That Would Worry You If The Harry Potter World Was Real

9. Portraits Of Dead People Are Basically Live People Stuck in Portraits

The people in portraits think and feel, walk and talk. They also have the same memories as the people they're depicting. So it's like having them there, but they're not real.... it's enough to drive anybody insane. How are these paintings legal in the Wizarding World, but the use of the Resurrection Stone is forbidden? Aren't they basically the same thing? If this were a real thing, what's stopping terrorists from painting Hitler? Osama Bin Laden? Saddam Hussein? They could easily ask for instructions to follow and the paintings could just direct them to fulfill out the evils they're unable to in the afterlife. Another strange thing about these moving paintings is the fact that, not only can they move from one painting to another, but in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Ariana Dumbledore lets Neville Longbottom into her painting, if only for a moment, while he walks through a passage emanating from the Room of Requirement. In this case, what's stopping a random burglar from entering a house through a fat lady painting, after he "woos" her with some compliments or gifts?
