10 Things The Guardians Of The Galaxy Sequel Mustn't Do
5. Use A Weaker Villain
Guardians of the Galaxy did what so many other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies have failed to do - it presented a villain against whom the heroes were almost helpless. Ronan was so far above all five members of the Guardians of the Galaxy on the power scale that he actually felt like a genuine threat - we believed he might actually achieve what he set out to do - and that gave the movie an "edge of our seat" element that we've been waiting for since 2008 and the inception of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As a result, we have a new precedent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that must be maintained. The next villain must be an even bigger threat, because bringing in someone that makes us feel as if Groot could beat him/her by putting some branches up his/her nose would be a massive let down. Someone like Michael Korvac or Magus - a rogue version of Adam Warlock - with esoteric powers and massively amped physical statistics would work a treat. Don't let us down, Marvel.
