10 Things To Avoid If You Want To Survive A Slasher Movie

8. Running Into The Woods/ Stumbling/ Falling

Running in the woods, stumbling and falling down is surely not the way to go, but it happens to be inevitable in many situations where movie people are being chased by a masked killer while they're bolting away. To be safe, maybe only run on tarmac. Very very smooth tarmac.

Apparently, nature doesn't only harbour tall trees and exotic animals but it's also home to some of the most mystical entities that have come to trip up much of humans running for their lives. This is baffling, more so because, in most situations, these people have quite comfortable clothes on - at least comfortable enough to allow any able bodied person to run freely without tumbling down.

Sure, there is reason to assume the shoes might play a role in their falling. On that account, as much fun as it is watching Sarah Michelle Gellar attempt to run from a hook-wielding fisherman in a beauty pageant getup, it doesn’t mean you should repeat her mistakes. Combat boots only, ladies.
